Does Wavelength Matter? Absolutely, if you study the research you will find that the optimum penetration wavelength is between 750 and 850. Anything below that does not penetrate as deeply due to the shorter wavelengths. Any wavelength above 850 will be absorbed by water and fat or adipose tissue. Understanding how wavelengths work in and with the body is a very confusing and sometimes frustrating thing. Just remember that different wavelength interact with different tissue that is why UV light will burn the skin due to its interactions. Look at the research studies available and you will find the answers one excellent source is www.laser.nu.
